Trista Otorowski

Trista Otorowksi has eight years of experience in correctional mental health and is currently completing her Master of Social Work.

She holds a Honours degree in Psychology and a diploma in Criminal Justice, with additional experience in youth corrections and community-based work with Indigenous children and families.

Her practice interests include trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, accommodation, culturally responsive practice and the ways institutional systems can misread communication, distress, trauma responses or unmet support needs as behavioural non-compliance.

She contributes to NCF as an Advisor in her personal capacity, and her views do not represent Correctional Service Canada or the Government of Canada.
