CareSafer Project
Led the development of CareSafer, a neurodivergent-led primary-care quality improvement initiative developed with Gateway Medical Centre and supported by Healthcare Excellence Canada.
The project translates research, community findings, and lived experience into practical education and implementation tools for healthcare providers.
Engagement with neurodivergent adults, clinicians, medical learners, and health-system partners identified barriers related to communication, sensory accessibility, masking, diagnostic overshadowing, executive functioning, trauma, and supported decision-making.
Deliverables include an evidence-informed online curriculum, stakeholder review process, implementation resources, and a primary-care pilot. The project demonstrates my ability to synthesize evidence and stakeholder knowledge into practical, scalable recommendations for service improvement.
